Uzbek president approves agreements with Turkmenistan

Uzbek President Islam Karimov approved three intergovernmental agreements this week signed with Turkmenistan on combating crime, extradition and border affairs.
The documents were signed during Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov's visit to Uzbekistan in late February 2009.
The decree "On the Approval of International Treaties" was published in Uzbek media.
Based on the document, Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev and National Security Council Secretary Chairman Murad Atayev were tasked with monitoring the document's implementation.
