The seminar-meeting devoted to issues of safety was held in the national airline company "Uzbekistan Airways", CA-NEWS reported.
Seminar underlined the issue of pilots of the aircrafts being blinded by "laser beam". Technical specifications of devices creating laser beam beginning with the laser pointers and finishing with high-power laser devices, were held.
In contact with eye retina laser beams cause blindness and even burn resulting with full or partial loss of sight and can lead to serious consequences. Any types of laser can pose serious threat to safety.
People who create such situations will be punished by law and their action will be equalized to terrorism. Issues of prevention of such incidents, rapid identification and detections of those involved in, regardless of the method, time and place were also discussed at the meeting.
As the result of the meeting, the strategy was developed between the flight crew, air traffic controllers and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The chief inspector of safety inspections of National Airlines, the representatives of Ministry of Internal Affairs, committees of the city, the command-flight and flight crews, air traffic control center attended the meeting.
