Wages of judges increased in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, the new, higher level of wages and the size of the monthly premium to the official salaries of judges of the Constitutional Court, courts of general jurisdiction (except military courts) and the economic courts and their workers with a class rank is approved in accordance with the decree of President Islam Karimov.
Wages of judges increased in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, the new, higher level of wages and the size of the monthly premium to the official salaries of judges of the Constitutional Court, courts of general jurisdiction (except military courts) and the economic courts and their workers with a class rank is approved in accordance with the decree of President Islam Karimov.

The judges of the Constitutional Court, courts of general jurisdiction and economic courts are exempt from income tax for individuals in terms of income received in connection with the performance of official duties in accordance with the decree approved the day before.

The Government of Uzbekistan will adopt the procedure for providing the issuance of long-term mortgages for home purchase on favorable terms for judges, as well as a monthly payment of monetary compensation for rent of premises within two months.

The costs associated with the implementation of the decree will be made at the expense of the state budget and fund for the development of courts and judicial authorities.

The Decree also provides that the Supreme Court together with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan will explore the current load of judges of the courts on civil cases, the remoteness of the inter-district courts from the areas assigned for them, and to make suggestions to optimize the system of courts on civil cases within one month.

In addition, the program on introducing of modern information and communication technologies into the courts will be approved in consultation with the High Court and Supreme Economic Court of Uzbekistan. In this regard a separate unit for computerization will be created in the structure of courts.

The President ordered to prepare proposals for amendments to existing legislation providing the passage of mandatory training and training of persons newly appointed (elected) judges, respectively in the center of the training of lawyers in the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Court and the Supreme Economic court of Uzbekistan.

The Government is entrusted to introduce the draft resolution of the president on further improvement of legal education and the development of legal science, radically improving the quality of training that meet modern requirements, improvement of lawmaking and law enforcement.
