Tariffs for natural gas sold to the public in Uzbekistan increased by 14 percent, for the central heating, hot and cold water supply - by 13.5 percent, electricity - by 7.4 percent from April 1.

In addition, from now tariff for removal of domestic waste increased by 53.3 percent - from 1,500 up to 2,300 sum per person.

The previous increase in tariffs of public utilities was observed in Uzbekistan in October last year. Then tariffs for natural gas increased by 14 percent, for the central heating and hot water supply - by 9 percent, cold water supply - by 8.4 percent, electricity - by 7 percent.

As a whole, in 2012 tariffs for hot water and heating in Uzbekistan increased by 25.9 percent, for gas - by 28 percent, cold water - by 18.4 percent and electricity - by 14 percent.

The official exchange rate is 2039.60 sum to $1 on April 1.
