Senate of Uzbek Oliy Majlis (the upper chamber of the Uzbek parliament) at its meeting the day before elected Kozimjan Kamilov as the Chairman of the Supreme Economic Court of the Republic.
The resolution of the Senate about electing Kamilov the Chairman of the Supreme Economic Court was published in Uzbek media outlets on Saturday.
Before this post 56-year-old Kozimjan Kamilov worked as the Chairman of the Tashkent Economic Court.
The Supreme Economic Court of Uzbekistan is the supreme judicial body in the area of Commercial Litigation.
According to the country's legislation, the judges of the Supreme Economic Court of the Republic are elected by the Senate on the recommendation of the president of Uzbekistan.
