Uzbek insurance company increases collection of premiums

The Uzbek Kafolat insurance company increased the collection of premiums by 32.1 percent up to 76.3 billion Uzbek soums in 2016 compared to 2015, a representative of the company told Trend.

The premiums on compulsory civil liability insurance of owners of motor vehicles and employer’s liability insurance reached 18.6 billion soums in 2016 compared 15.6 billion soums in 2015.

Payments reached 17 billion soums in 2016 or by 21.4 percent more than in 2015.

The company’s authorized capital is 26.162 billion soums.

Kafolat insurance company JSC was founded in 1997 upon the Uzbek government's decision. The company renders 80 types of insurance in over 150 territorial divisions throughout the country.

The official exchange rate on Jan. 26 is 3265.54 soums / $1.
