Uzbek Chamber of Commerce & Industry, parliament’s lower house ink deal

The Legislative Chamber (lower house) of the Uzbek Parliament and the country’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed an agreement on cooperation.

The Legislative Chamber (lower house) of the Uzbek Parliament and the country’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed an agreement on cooperation.

According to the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the agreement is an important legal document that ensures development of social partnership between the parties.

The partnership is aimed at strengthening the guarantees of protection of rights and legal interests of subjects of entrepreneurship and private property in Uzbekistan.

The agreement envisages close cooperation in the formation of expert groups for development of private property and entrepreneurship, active participation of representatives of the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the preparation and discussion of bills in the Legislative Chamber, as well as in studying facts on the ground, implementing control and analytical activity to enforce the laws of Uzbekistan.

At the same time, the agreement defines measures regarding provision of conclusions by the Chamber to assess the impact of bills on the business sector in the process of their development.
