Almost 80 percent of agriculture machines equipped with digital technologies in Uzbekistan are provided by LandTech agricultural machinery manufacturer, Trend reports referring to kun.uz.

Dealer of the world's leading John Deere Company in Uzbekistan, LandTech individual entrepreneurship provides farmers in Uzbekistan with the opportunity to use agricultural machinery equipped with digital technologies.

During the event dedicated to the digitalization of agriculture on the territory of the Silverleafe cluster located in the Jizzakh region, with the participation of ministries, departments, national institutions, agencies, and the Council of Farmers of Uzbekistan, presentations, and demonstrations of the latest generation CP690 cotton harvester and AMS SYSTEM precision farming system were held.

“The use of digital technologies in agriculture will create the possibility of a reduction in the labor force and a larger scale of cotton picking, cultivating the land using combines. Almost 80 percent of the equipment imported over the past two years is equipped with John Deere telematics systems,” said Botir Isroilov, CFO of the distributor of advanced equipment Landtech.

“We have been cooperating with John Deere for two years. We have a cotton picker from this company. One combine per day picks cotton, which can be harvested by 1,000 people,” said the head of the Sulton farm Nuriddin Khozhibekov.

During the presentation, it was also reported about the technical aspects of technology. In particular, the combines are equipped with AMS and JD-link systems. The system makes it possible to determine how the equipment works, how much fuel is spent on one hectare.

Project Coordinator of the Organization for Security and Cooperation of Europe (OSCE) in Uzbekistan John S. McGregor claims that cotton-picking using digital technology fully meets the requirements of international organizations.

“Europe, East Asia, and America are paying particular attention to the way cotton is picked in Uzbekistan. This technique provides specific information about where and how the cotton was harvested, that is, not through forced labor, but with the help of technology,” McGregor.

During the event, two memorandums of cooperation were signed between Landtech and Silverleafe, within the framework of which John Deere became a platinum sponsor of Sogdiana Jizzakh women's football team, as well as between Landtech and the Hamkormazleasing leasing company.
