South Korean BOMI Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd to create enterprises for confectionery production in Kokand FEZ (free economic zone) and for production of paints and varnishes in Karakalpakstan, Trend reports referring to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in South Korea Vitaly Fen and the chairman of the BOMI Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. Kim Dok Young discussed the progress of investment projects being implemented in Uzbekistan by BOMI Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. and its partners.
Speaking about the project for the construction of a multi-storey office building BOMI Financial Center on the territory of the Tashkent City International Business Center, Kim Dok Young confirmed his interest in its successful implementation in the near future.
“As the situation softens, the South Korean company is ready to promptly send specialists to Tashkent to accelerate the continuation of construction work,” he said.
Chairman of BOMI Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. also informed about two investment projects being developed in Uzbekistan together with the partners of the company.
The first project is the organization of the production of paints and varnishes in Karakalpakstan with the involvement of advanced technologies from South Korean companies.
Kim Dok Young said that active work continues to form a consortium of South Korean companies for the successful promotion of such an important project for Uzbekistan and the region. In the future, it is planned to produce paints for the construction industry, road marking, and the automotive industry.
The second project is the creation of an enterprise for the production of confectionery products on the territory of the Kokand FEZ in cooperation with the Cheong Woo Confectionery Co., Ltd. The project is at the stage of studying the consumer market of Uzbekistan and the region.
