The UAE invested in the establishment of the intensive garden in the Yangikurgan district of the Namangan region in Uzbekistan Trend reports referring to the press service of the president of Uzbekistan.

According to the information, modern gardens and vineyards are being laid in the Yangikurgan district of the Namangan region, despite the mountainous terrain and lack of water resources.

Previously, the land in the garden of Sura General Investments LLC in Yangikurgan district was not irrigated and was used inefficiently. At the expense of $3 million in direct investment from the UAE, an intensive garden of 103 hectares was laid here.

First, water extraction from a depth of 250 meters was established. A pool was dug and a drip irrigation system was installed.

Last year, seedlings were brought from Italy and planted including the cherry on 48 hectares, apricot on 26 hectares, peach on 22 hectares, and plums on 7 hectares.

According to the managers of Sura General Investments LLC, the yield of an intensive garden is three times higher than with a traditional method of gardening. Thanks to the drip irrigation system, it is possible to save two times more water.

It was also noted that the trees will start bearing fruit next year. The annual capacity of the garden will amount to 5,000 tons, the products are planned to be exported. In addition, the garden employs 40 people.

Sura General Investments LLC added that it is planned to lay gardens on another thousand hectares in the future.
