The Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UzEX) received a certificate according to the international standard ISO 37001: 2016 ‘Anti-bribery management system’ (ABMS) of certification body СERT International, Trend reports citing the Uzbek Dunyo news agency.
According to the UzEX website, ISO 37001: 2016 is the world's first international standard that contains an international model for building an effective anti-bribery system in an organization.
“During the implementation of the integrated anti-corruption management system at the exchange, the organization's activities were comprehensively considered - from the process of recruiting personnel, accrediting exchange members, organizing exchange trading and public procurement, and ending with work with counterparties and business partners in various areas of activity,” the UzEX message said.
“More than 20 local documents regulating activities in the field of combating corruption were developed and revised. The employees responsible for the implementation of the process were trained and received the appropriate certificates,” the message said.
Obtaining the ISO 37001: 2016 certificate indicates a high level of ability to conduct business processes transparently, legally and in accordance with the world's best practices.
As reported, UzEX JSC also successfully completed the next supervisory audit of the quality management system and was recognized as complying with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001: 2015 in the field of organizing and conducting exchange trading, electronic government procurement and electronic commerce.
In 2017, UzEX for the first time received a certificate confirming the compliance of the quality management system with the international standard - ISO 9001: 2015 ‘Quality Management System’.
