Uzbekistan imported 331,600 tons of potatoes from 13 foreign countries in January through September 2021, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee.
The volume of potato imports amounted to $38.8 million in nine months of 2021.
Import of potatoes in comparison with the corresponding period of last year increased by 83,700 tons.
Major importers of Uzbek potatoes during the reporting period:
Iran – 121,700 tons
Kazakhstan – 95,400 tons
Pakistan – 81,000 tons
Kyrgyzstan – 17,400 tons
Netherlands – 10,600 tons
Russia – 4,400 tons
France - 616 tons
Afghanistan - 374.6 tons
Germany - 66.3 tons
