The volume of foreign trade turnover in Uzbekistan amounted to $42.1 billion, which is an increase of 15.9 percent compared to 2020 ($36.3 billion),Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
During this period, the volume of exports from Uzbekistan amounted to $16.6 billion, which is an increase of 9.9 percent compared to 2020 ($15.1 billion).
The volume of imports to the country amounted to $25.5 billion, which is an increase of 20.2 percent compared to 2020 ($21.2 billion).
In 2021, the largest volume of foreign trade turnover was recorded with Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Turkey, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
Uzbekistan exported mostly industrial and food products, as well as gold in 2021.The country imported mostly machinery and equipment, and chemical products.
