BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21. Uzbekistan manufactured industrial products worth 8.7 trillion soums ($774.4 million) from January through September, 2022,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
Over the year, the growth in the number of manufactured products amounted to 109.3 percent.
During this period Uzbek enterprises produced 22.6 million square meters of building glass, 30.8 million square meters of drywall, 7.14 million tons of cement, 116,000 tons of dry building mixes, 1.7 million rolls of wallpaper, 133,000 tons of gypsum building materials.
Also this year, the production of decorative ceramic tiles, sanitary ware made of ceramite, porcelain stoneware and basalt fittings was launched.
Investments in the amount of $137.9 million were allocated for the implementation of 25 industrial projects.
The value of exports amounted to $452.6 million, which was an increase by 1.5 times compared to the same period last year.
Along with the traditional markets for exports as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, the geography of exports of building materials has been expanded to countries such as Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Fiji, Canada, Romania.
