BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 10. Kazakhstan was the main importer of Uzbek raisins in January 2023, Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The remaining importers were: Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, the UAE, Türkiye, Iran, Belarus, Azerbaijan.
During the reporting period, the country's trade partners imported 7,500 tons of raisins worth $6.3 million. Uzbekistan’s volume of raisin export increased by 464 tons, compared to January 2022.
Top importers of Uzbek raisins in 1M2023:
Kazakhstan - 3,400 tons;
Russia - 910 tons;
China - 511 tons;
The UAE - 454 tons;
Türkiye - 386 tons;
Iran - 299 tons;
Belarus - 192 tons
Azerbaijan - 121 tons.
In January 2023, overall the trade partners of Uzbekistan imported 67,500 tons of fruit and vegetables worth $58,400 million, decreasing by 11.3 tons compared to the figure for January 2022 (78,600 tons). The leading importers of Uzbek fruit and vegetables were Russia (28.9 percent), Pakistan (23.5 percent), Kazakhstan (17.0 percent), and China (9.8 percent).
In 2022, Uzbekistan exported 318,900 tons of grapes (including raisins) worth $280.1 million abroad.
