TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 16. Hungarian Egis Pharmaceutical Company and Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry have signed an agreement on the improvement of the quality of medicines in Uzbekistan, Trend reports.
According to the agreement, the Hungarian pharmaceutical manufacturer will collaborate to create guidelines for overseeing Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical sector.
Furthermore, the Hungarian company will contribute to enhancing the expertise of Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical workforce. A key element of this partnership will involve the ongoing sharing of expertise and experiences.
Meanwhile, other countries like India also expressed interest in developing Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector, as Uzbekistan and India concluded a package of more than 100 documents worth about $300 million to boost cooperation in the medical field earlier in 2023.
The signed package of documents allows both countries to expand medical cooperation, in particular the digitalization of the field, the development of medical tourism, the implementation of joint programs in medical education and folk medicine, as well as the expansion of investment projects in this sector.
