TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 6. The value of Uzbek goods sold on the Russian Wildberries marketplace amounted to $311 million from January through October 2023, Government Relations Manager of Wildberries in Uzbekistan Sardor Kadyrov said, Trend reports.

As per the company representative, the recorded number denotes a 84-percent increase compared to the corresponding period of 2022.

Among the most purchased products were:

- household items - 806 percent

- cosmetics and perfume – 528 percent

- healthcare – 433 percent

- toys – 386 percent

- needlework – 325 percent

Moreover, Kadyrov stated that the Russian marketplace has significantly reduced the delivery time of Uzbek products to Russia.

“Previously, products from Uzbekistan went through a lot of procedures to get to the site, which took a lot of time, so manufacturers did not want to place their products there. Now Wildberries has reduced the delivery waiting time and the cargo has the opportunity to reach Moscow within 70 hours, when previously it amounted to 5-10 days," he said.

Meanwhile, Wildberries' investments in Uzbekistan amount to $412.5 million, which allowed for creating 22,500 jobs.

The company’s plans for 2024 include expanding the warehousing area in Uzbekistan’s regions of Tashkent, Ferghana and Namangan to 350,000 square meters, as well as increasing the number of sellers on the site up to 15,000.
