TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 11. Specialists of Uzbekistan’s Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) have received a patent for a method of producing tungsten nanopowder in addition to hard alloys, Trend reports.

As per the data provided by the AMMC, this method is used in powder metallurgy and in the production of nanopowders. The use of this technology will increase the strength of alloys by 16 percent.

AMMC states that the new technology makes it possible to prevent the destruction of the alloy under load by activating the recrystallization process.

To date, this method has been used in the production of hard alloys in the structural division of AMMC, located in Uzbekistan’s Chirchik region.

Earlier this year, AMMC launched the first and only production of ferromolybdenum in Central Asia.

It is planned to reach production worth 170 billion Uzbek soums ($13.9 million) worth of ferromolybdenum products by 2025.

The company plans to reach the 2,000 kg mark monthly in production of the special alloy. The combine has already sent 5,500 kg to Uzbekistan’s Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine JSC.
