TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 12. Uzbekistan will abolish 22 types of licenses and permits for entrepreneurs from March 1, 2024, Trend reports.

This is stipulated by the presidential decree of January 9, 2024.

According to Uzbekistan's Ministry of Justice, remote evaluation of license and permit applicants via video link is additionally allowed.

The requirement to place $15,000 in the Safe Tourism Fund for outbound tourism is abolished.

Legal entities may now select an optional location for the inspection of their vehicles. Prior to that, they had to undergo technical inspection in places established by internal affairs bodies.

For violations of licensing, permitting, and notification procedures, companies will be able to pay a fine at a 50 percent discount in the case of voluntary payment within 14 days or a 30 percent discount within 30 days.
