TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 2. Uzbekistan's Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) plans to increase its production volume in 2024, Deputy Chief Engineer of AMMC Abdukakhhor Sainazarov said, Trend reports.
He spoke at a press conference on "AMMC's main activity directions: results of 2023 and tasks set for 2024".
Abdukakhhor Sainazarov said that AMMC plans to increase the manufacture of industrial products to 32.2 trillion soums ($2.5 billion), implement investment projects worth $2,1 billion, and manufacture localized products worth 1 trillion soums ($79.2 million).
In addition, the combine plans to make payments to the state budget in the amount of 15.7 trillion soums ($1.2 billion).
Meanwhile, AMMC exported products worth $81.99 million in the first two months of 2024, exceeding the forecasted figure by 1.3 percent.
A total of 7,304 tons of copper products, 4,643 tons of zinc products, 132 tons of molybdenum products, and other goods were exported to foreign customers during this period.
