TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 2. Uzbekistan’s Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) manufactured industrial products worth 31.7 trillion soums ($2.51 billion) in 2023, Deputy Chief Engineer of AMMC Abdukakhhor Sainazarov said, Trend reports.
He spoke at a press conference on "AMMC's main activity directions: results of 2023 and tasks set for 2024".
According to him, the combine implemented investment projects worth $1,1 billion in 2023 and exported goods worth $661.9 million. Products worth 429.0 billion soums were manufactured under the Localization Program.
In addition, AMMC reduced production costs up to 404.7 billion soums ($32 million). Payments to the state budget amounted to 14.9 trillion soums ($1.18 billion), while net profit reached 6.7 trillion soums ($530.7 million). Geological exploration activities amounted to 163.5 billion soums ($12.9 million).
Meanwhile, the combine fulfilled all production indicators by 120.3 percent from January through February 2024.
The AMMC plans to increase the manufacture of industrial products to 32.2 trillion soums ($2.5 billion), implement investment projects worth $2,1 billion, and manufacture localized products worth 1 trillion soums ($79.2 million) in 2024.
