TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 31. Uzbekistan plans to increase the production of Enpipe enterprise in the Karakul Free Economic Zone to $121 million, Trend reports.

This was revealed during the Uzbek president’s visit to the Bukhara region, where he was presented with plans and information on the next stages of Enpipe enterprise’s development.

Reservoirs of various sizes that are pressure-resistant will be produced, creating 500 new jobs and increasing the above enterprise's export potential.

Meanwhile, the Karakul free economic zone will play an important role in the region's industry. It was established on the basis of a decree signed by Uzbekistan's president on August 13, 2021. The total area of the zone is 566 hectares, and 5 major projects have already been placed. Upon completion of all stages of their implementation, the total number of jobs will amount to about 3,000.

Furthermore, Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on March 20 on the creation of a Yangi Avlod special industrial zone in Tashkent.

On that account, the industrial zone will host $1.5 billion in investment projects by 2025, creating 2,500 permanent jobs.
