TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 6. Uzbekistan's Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AMMC) exported products in the amount of $232.4 million from January through May 2024, Trend reports.
The forecast indicator in this direction was met by 107 percent, as per the AMMC.
In particular, the enterprise exported 20,069 tons of copper products, 11,211 tons of zinc products, 310 tons of molybdenum products, and 8,386 tons of lead concentrate.
Meanwhile, AMMC exported products worth $177.7 million from January through April 2024. The combine fulfilled the forecasted indicator in this direction by 105 percent.
The enterprise exported 15,653 tons of copper products, 9,372 tons of zinc products, and 242 tons of molybdenum products from January through April 2024.
Furthermore, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine expects to make 32.2 trillion soums ($2.5 billion) in industrial items, $2.01 billion in investment projects, and one trillion soums ($79.2 million) in localized products in 2024.
At the same time, Uzbekistan is set to undertake projects valued at $500 million focused on rare earth metals, with the involvement of foreign experts and investors.
