President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Monday underscored the need for solidarity and resistance of regional nations against enemies, IRNA reported.
In a meeting with the visiting Syrian Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Abrash, he reiterated that resistance of the regional countries has weakened the enemies.
West and the bullying powers have always tried to weaken the joint Iran-Syria front and the regional resistance, the President noted.
The enemies have been faced with a political quagmire since the regional nations have been awakened and are resisting against their extremist policies, he stressed.
Underlining the need for further expansion of all-out relations between Iran and Syria particularly in the economic field, he called for making use of all the existing potentials in both countries.
For his part, the Syrian speaker stressed that the enemies are trying to create tension in the regional and Islamic countries, adding that solidarity of Muslims would lead to further failure of the enemies.
He said further expansion of Tehran-Damascus economic cooperation would benefit the entire region.
