Israeli President Shimon Peres on Wednesday condemned the Iranian authorities' actions against demonstrators in Tehran, DPA reported.
"The greatest political and moral corruption in the world is in Iran. It was an ugly appearance on television to see a parliament standing up and saying 'kill the opposition'," he told a conference of Jewish American leaders in Jerusalem.
"Iran ('s regime) will be stopped by their own people. What the present Iranian leadership does is a shame on Iranian history, the Iranian culture, and the pain for their own people."
