Salehi talks with OIC Sec Gen on Bahrain crisis
IRI FM Ali Akbar Salehi in a phone talks Monday night with OIC Sec Gen asked for that organization's potentials to prevent occurrence of more brutalities in Bahrain against civilians, IRNA reported.
According to IRNA, the Information and Media Head Office of the IRI Foreign Ministry further reported that Salehi in his in his phone talks with the Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Countries Ekmeleddin Ihsanuglu surveyed the recent Middle East brutalities, particularly the aggressions against the people in Bahrain and the intervention of some Persian Gulf countries' security forces there.
The Iranian top diplomat appreciated the efforts made by the OIC Secretary General, asking for taking full advantage of that organization's capacities for putting an end to the unleashed brutalities against the people in Bahrain.
Expressing deep concern regarding the intensification of the aggressive moves there, he stressed the need for observation of self restrain and adopting peaceful methods.
OIC Secretary General Ihsanuglu, too, in the phone talks expressing worry about the ongoing situation in Bahrain, emphasized that the OIC would continue its efforts aimed at solving that crisis.
