Iran executes four drug smugglers

Four people have been executed in the central jail in the Iranian province of Kerman today, Trend reported with reference to MEHR news agency.
According to the information, the Kerman province prosecutor's office reported that these people were accused of selling, purchasing and using drugs.
According to media outlets, over 154 people have been executed in Iran from early 2011 till now. Over 90 people accused of drug smuggling and rape have been executed.
The UN and Amnesty International have repeatedly demanded from Iran to stop executions. Human rights activists state that the number of executions in Iran is more than the official statistics.
