All the NAM states are resisting against the US that wants Syria case being referred to the UN Security Council from the IAEA, Iran's IAEA envoy Ali-Asghar Soltanieh said, IRNA reported.

"Highly intensive discussions are now underway in Vienna in this regard," Soltanieh told after the IAEA session.

He said there are now discussions at the IAEA on Syria, that one of whose sites is said to have been the target of Zionist regime's strikes upon information that the country planned to build a reactor there. The issue is for several years a topic under discussion, he added.

That's for several days that Americans try to send Syria case to the UN Security Council by putting forth a draft resolution, said Soltanieh, adding that NAM and certain friendly countries are now seriously united against the move.

"Israel was condemned for attacking another country and unfortunately, the US and western states kept a shameful silence, not raising the issue at all," he concluded.
