Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a phone call with his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai on Monday voiced sympathy for assassination of Karzai's half brother in the terrorist attack and reiterated, "enemies do not seek welfare and security of Afghan nation", ISNA reported.
"Authoritarian powers resort to foul measures to harm regional nations and that regional nations and governments should stand against enemies' plots through boosting joint cooperation," he added.
Karzai on his part said, "great Iranian nation has always stood behind Afghan nation and that Afghanistan hopes to obtain sustainable security with the help of Iranian nation."
Afghan President added, "enemies of Afghanistan are trying to deliver blow to Afghan nation and hit stability and calm in the country."
