Ahmadinejad to visit Islamabad by end of year

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is to visit Pakistan by the end of 2011, said Pakistani ambassador to Tehran Khalid Aziz Babar, ISNA reported.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is to visit Pakistan by the end of 2011, said Pakistani ambassador to Tehran Khalid Aziz Babar, ISNA reported.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of Pakistan's Day of Independence ceremony, he said, "Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani intends to fly to Iran and Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari visited Iran twice since March 2011."

He also said a delegation of Pakistani Interior Ministry is going to step in Iran in October and that Iran-Afghanistan-Pakistan summit is to be held in Islamabad before the end of 2011."

AS to Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline, he said, "the project is so significant and shows friendly relations between the two sides. Iran and Pakistan are now determining the pipeline's route. We hope it would be accomplished in December 2014."
