Iran is against oppression of people in any form, Iranian Foreign Ministry's spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast told journalists at the weekly briefing on Tuesday, Press TV reported.
He said Iran urges the Bahraini and Syrian governments to meet demands of their citizens.
"Suppressing demands of people will not resolve problems in Bahrain," Mehmanparast said. "We are against any suppressive measures against people."
Regarding Syria's problems, he said Iran rejects any intervention in Syrian affairs.
"Syrian officials should listen to peoples' demands. We hope that Syria's problems will be resolved on the basis of prudence," Mehmanparast added.
Answering a question about the situation in Afghanistan, he repeated that resolution of Afghanistan's problems will influence on the security in the entire region.
"Efforts to provide stability and security in the neighboring country are always on our agenda," Mehmanparast said.
