Iran will launch the first domestically built oil tanker by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (starts on March 21), the ISNA reported.
The Bahr Gostaresh Shipbuilding Industries Co., which is subordinated to the Iranian Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex Co., was instructed to build three oil tankers and launch the first tanker by the end of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, Iran plans to produce LNG carriers.
