The 30 mcm of gas injected to Iran's Aghajari field each day will nearly double to 56 mcm by the end of the year, according to IRIB.
The increase comes as a result of repairing the gas injection plant's turbines at Aghajari, National Iranian South Oil Company official Hormoz Ghalavand told IRIB.
Gas is injected into oil reserves to increase production. Over the next five years, the oil from the field will grow from 100 thousand bpd to 200 thousand bpd.
Iran's solar year ends on March 20.
