Iran launches Ghader missile in war game

Iran launched Ghader Missile during Velayate-90 war game, IRNA quoted spokesperson of the war game Mahmoud Mousavi as saying.

The Ghader Cruise Missiles with a 200 km range have been delivered to the Navy's fleet on Nov. 30.

Ghader missiles able to attack navies, military boats and other sea-based targets with high speed and accuracy.

Shore-to-sea, sea-to-sea missile Ghader missiles, also can be installed on helicopters.

Mousavi said that surface-to-surface Nour missile and short-range Nasr missile will be tested today, as well.

Iran's Navy started the massive 10-day Velayat-90 naval exercises on December 24.

The drills cover an area from the east of the strategic Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Aden.

Iran maintains that the drills are defensive in nature and intended to convey a message of peace and friendship to the regional countries.
