An earthquake measuring 4.2 on Richter scale jolted surrounding areas of Abegarm in central province of Qazvin on Friday, IRNA reported.
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 16:05 hours local time (12:35 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 35.76 degrees latitude and 49.03 degrees longitude.
There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
