Iran’s gas reserves grow to 35 trillion

With the world's second largest supply of natural gas, Iran has expanded its reserves to 35 trillion cubic metres, Pana news agency reports.

Iran's natural gas stores were previously reported to be 34 trillion cubic metres

Pipeline projects worth more than $200 million are underway as part of the effort to provide towns and industries with natural gas, said Javad Owji the National Iranian Gas Company's (NIGC) managing director.

Second to Russia in its holdings, Iran is the world's fourth largest natural gas producer and third biggest consumer.
