Saudi Arabia has promised to resolve Iranian pilgrims' visa problems.

Iran's Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi, told Majlis' (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee members yesterday that the two countries have met to discuss the problem, Mehr news agency reports.

Starting June 20, Saudi Arabia's haj services agency stopped issuing visas for some Islamic nations' pilgrims including Iran's pilgrims. The Saudi haj organization has promised to investigate the matter.

About 4,500 Iranians travel to Mecca during haj.
