Iranian, Pakistani presidents meet

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Pakistani counterpart, Asif Ali Zardari, met on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit here on Thursday night, IRNA reported.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Pakistani counterpart, Asif Ali Zardari, met on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit here on Thursday night, IRNA reported.

The two presidents discussed bilateral cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad. Referring to the importance of NAM in international arena, President Ahmadinejad said that all member-states of NAM should make use of the potentials of the 16th NAM Summit for conducting big and influential accomplishments in the international community.

The visiting Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari for his part said that holding the 16th NAM Summit in Tehran is a great success for Iran.

"Participants of NAM summit can take important decisions for conducting great attempts," President Zardari added.

The two president also studied some of the projects agreed upon by both countries and talked about the ways for expediting and completing the projects.
