President Hassan Rouhani's nominee for Oil Minister, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh plans to increase country's oil production capacity to 2005 year's production figure which was some 4.05 million barrels per day, Iranian state IRINN TV reported live.

Zanganeh made the remarks during his speech to defend his policies and respond to his critics on the fourth day of Parliamentary debates on Rouhani`s proposed ministers.

He said that, he will use all sources for this purpose, including private sector and the capacities of Iranians living abroad, for increasing the oil productions value in the country.

He went on to note that, he will help foreign policy officials to lead country out from current critical situation using, by his own words, "energy diplomacy".

He also said that, oil industry needs investments and professional management.

It should be recalled that, according to OPEC, Iran has produced some 2.684 million barrels of oil per day in July, unchanged from the previous month.
