The UN-Arab League envoy for Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi will visit Tehran next week, Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday.
Brahimi's visit to Tehran is the part of his regional tour to get support for the Geneva II conference, the Mehr News Agency reported.
Brahimi previously said that intense efforts are underway to convene the conference aimed at finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
The Geneva II conference is a follow-up to the similar meeting held June last year.
Brahimi has already visited Egypt. His regional tour will also take him to Syria.
