By Umid Niayesh - Trend: Interests of the US and Israel are within Iran's weapons' range, deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said, Fars news agency reported on Nov. 9.
"Iran's armed forces have no doubts in taking action against the United States as well as Israel," Jazayeri said.
He also criticized the US president Barack Obama due to his "all options on the table against Iran" phrase, calling it "sickening."
"The United States will soon understand that Iran's power cannot be ignored," Jazayeri added.
He also stated that, Iranian diplomacy will note be affected by the United States` "carrot and stick" policy.
The majority of Iranian public in general supports the idea of elected president Hassan Rouhani to normalize country's relations with Western states.
On the other hand, some hardline politicians in Iran's higher circles stand against the more moderate foreign policy of Rouhani.
