Iran's PGSEZ exports stands at $1 billion

Persian Gulf Special Economic Zone's annual exports currently stand at one billion dollars, Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) reported on November 18.

The report states that the figure could be rise six fold, the IRNA News Agency reported.

PGSEZ's Managing Director Masoud Hendian has invited Chinese businessmen to invest in the mineral projects of the zone.

He made the invitation during a visit by a Chinese trade delegation.

"Once the current projects come on stream in PGSEZ, the zone's steel and aluminium output capacity will reach 10 million tons and 500,000 tons, respectively," he said.

Hendian went on to note that by implementation of the projects, PGSEZ's loading and unloading capacity would also reach 70 million tons.
