BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 24. The Resalat oil field development and maintenance project in Iran's Continental Plateau Oil Company has successfully completed the installation of the Sarchahi platform's foundation, Trend reports.
Pouya Marefi, Manager of the Resalat field development project said the installation process for the first and second rows of the 1,200-ton well platform, WHP1, was successfully carried out on August 1, in Khorramshahr.
Marefi further revealed that by transporting and installing this platform by the end of this fall, drilling operations for two wells will commence, with an estimated oil production capacity of 3,500 barrels per day.
The first phase of the Resalat oil field development and maintenance plan aims to achieve an increase in production of 11,000 barrels per day through various measures, including drilling operations, repairs, structural strengthening, updating existing facilities, and the installation of the well platform. These efforts are currently underway both on the surface and underground.
The executive operation of the well platform's base in Resalat Square began in 2022 at the contractor's yard in Khorramshahr.
This initiative, for the first time since the significant damages and losses incurred during the imposed war, focuses on strengthening and modernizing the structure and processes of the facilities. Additionally, it includes drilling and constructing the well platform, aligning with the field's development plans.
