BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. Iran is pessimistic about the role and military involvement of the US in the region, in the South Caucasus, the spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani said during a press conference in Tehran on August 19, Trend reports.
According to him, US involvement in the region will not be a bed of roses.
Iran and Armenia have a desire to build comprehensive relations, as pointed out by Kanaani. Protecting the region's security and borders is a priority for all sides. Iran remains silent on international affairs and stays out of bilateral disputes.
To note, according to recent reports in the media, military jets transporting American personnel and weapons have touched down in Armenia, where they would be deployed.
