BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. Iran declares its readiness to cooperate with other countries in the nuclear sphere, the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization's Vice President Mohammad Eslami said at the 68th conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held in Vienna on 16 September, Trend reports.
According to him, Iran has achieved several achievements in the nuclear field in recent years and has exhibited these achievements.
Eslami stated that Iran has accomplished these achievements in the face of unilateral and tough sanctions. These achievements include various peaceful fields.
The Iranian vice president added that Iran has approved a 20-year nuclear power generation program. Under this program, the share of nuclear power plants in the country's electricity production will increase to 20,000 megawatts by 2040.
To note, Iran is basically trying to lift sanctions imposed on the country by the US and Western countries, unblock its funds frozen in foreign countries, and lift restrictions on crude oil exports. Meanwhile, the US and Western countries want Iran to avoid acquiring a nuclear bomb, keep its nuclear program under control, and reduce uranium enrichment.
