(mobilemag) - Wireless is a way of life. No longer will you have to tether yourself to a WiFi hotspot in order to enjoy high-speed internet, because the HP Compaq nc6400 Notebook PC comes with integrated UMTS/HSDPA-based wireless connectivity. Perfectly compatible with Cingular Wireless' speedy broadband network, the nc6400 is designed to allow business professionals to have easy access to "corporate networks, email, and the Internet."

While traveling abroad, you'll also be able to connect in over 115 countries where you'll latch onto UMTS or GPRS/EDGE-based networks. The "high-performance dual-antennas" let you grab those 3G airwaves like none other, while the rest of the specs -- WLAN, Bluetooth, 14.1-inch widescreen, Core 2 Duo, 3D graphics, Vista capability, biometrics, etc. -- will keep you speeding along in with your business applications. You know, when you're not gambling your life savings away with online poker, reports Trend.

The HP nc6400 will be available before year's end for $1,599, whereas an unlimited Cingular BroadbandConnect service will run you $59.99/month. Other options include a $109 North American plan and a $139 global plan, both of which offer you 100 megabytes while abroad and unlimited data domestically.
