Dell upgrades XPS M1710 lappy with Blu-ray

(mobilemag) - Don't let the red lighting motif fool you, the XPS M1710 is about the blue. Dell has just given the 17-inch laptop a Blu-ray upgrade, letting you fully enjoy all that incredible ultra hi-def goodness in your lap (sorry, that sounded a little dirty).

In addition to the new Blu-ray optical drive, you'll still get all those other juicy numbers that have made this multimedia machine so popular, including a 2.16GHz/2.33GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, 100GB SATA HDD, 512MB GeForce Go 7900 GTX graphics, and that awesome 17-inch TrueLife widescreen display, reports Trend.

On the downside, the TV tuner is still optional and they still haven't included an HDMI interface to connect the lappy to an HDTV. Too bad, otherwise this multimedia laptop could double as a major component to your home theater.
