(cihan) - Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer has vetoed for the third time the government's nominee for the head of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), Turkey's state-run television, reports Trend.

On Dec. 12, the government nominated Hilmi Bengu, the general manager of semi-official Anatolia News Agency, as the new head of the TRT.

A statement from President's Office on Friday said that Sezer rejected the government decree appointing Bengi as the new director of the TRT.

President Sezer had rejected two other decrees appointing Ibrahim Sahin, undersecretary of transportation ministry and Ruhi Ozbilgic, deputy undersecretary of the prime ministry, for the post before.
