Western moves cannot diminish Iranians' strong will - Majlis deputy

(IRNA) - A Majlis deputy said here Monday that policies and moves of Western dictatorial states cannot diminish Iran's firm determination to access peaceful nuclear technology.

Fereidoun Hemmati, an MP from the western city of Ilam, made the remarks while speaking to IRNA.

He said arrogant Western states want to deprive Iran of access to peaceful nuclear technology through the use of propaganda and threats.

They try to prevent Iran from achieving nuclear progress although they know that all its nuclear activities are conducted within the purview of teh Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), Hemmati said.

He said access to nuclear nechnology and the peaceful uses of nuclear energy are serious demands of the Islamic Republic of Iran, reports Trend.

He said the great Iranian nation will not be cowered into giving up its right and abandoning the struggle against bullying powers who put obstacles on its way to progress, the lawmaker said.

He said the nation's insistence on accessing peaceful nuclear energy has come to symbolize their demand for advancement in all fields.
