Iran, EU, Turkey to continue nuclear talks

( IRNA ) - Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani, the EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana and Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul here Thursday started their tripartite talks on ongoing standoff over Iran's peaceful nuclear activities.

The three officials will attend a press conference after their meeting.

Larijani and Solana held a five-hour meeting Wednesday evening during which they discussed Iran's nuclear case. The negotiations were held behind closed doors.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides stressed that they would continue their negotiations on Thursday and in the future.

Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, Deputy Head of the SNSC for International Affairs Javad Vaeedi and Deputy Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Mohammad Saeedi are other members of the Iranian delegation to Ankara.
